Dr. Susan D. Cohen, a regulatory plant pathologist, established a consulting firm named the Center for Regulatory Research, LLC in September of 2005. Dr. Cohen has more than 30 years of experience in the regulatory field with 16 years as owner of Center for Regulatory Research, LLC and 16 years with the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, U. S. Department of Agriculture. She has published a number of significant academic articles on fungal plant pathogens, risk information systems, geospatial applications for pest risk assessments and the non-indigenous risk assessment process. Dr. Cohen’s current research interests include global climate change impacts on plant disease, abiotic stresses which effect plant and fungal ecosystems, geospatial applications, organic management, and microbial biological control.
