APS Involvement and Communities

Host Resistance and Biotechnology Solutions

The Host Resistance and Biotechnology Solutions Committee advances research in host resistance through biotechnological innovation to enhance plant health and sustainable disease management. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange, we promote the use of genomics, novel phenotyping technologies, and modern breeding strategies to discover the genetic mechanisms governing host resistance and to continue to shape the future of disease management. We promote the development and deployment of biotechnology-enhanced solutions, ensuring responsible, effective, and widely accepted strategies for global agricultural sustainability.
